Hey, I'm Anna Červinková!

A bit of an introvert – super shy if being photographed, much happier with camera in my hand. Love art, nature and proper adventures. Happiest on the road and roaming in Europe in my van. If not shooting or editing, you can often find me climbing a mountain or at a gig of ambient or alternative music. Definitely a cat person, but I dogsit from time to time!

With background in Portrait, Fashion and Fine Art Photography, I've been capturing love stories since 2012.

Originally from a little town in the Czech Republic. I relocated to Scotland in 2015 and now you can mostly find me somewhere on the road between Edinburgh, Glasgow and Scottish Highlands, which I fell in love with.

I started taking photos at the age of 14 and soon discovered I love working with people the most. Portraiture became my favourite genre and I was asked to shoot a first wedding at the age of 19. About the same time I went to study Photography in Prague and my brand Ceranna Photography – a composite of my first and last name was born in 2012. I continued my studies at the Edinburgh College of Art and graduated with a Fine Art Degree. Most of my work consisting of film photography.

So here you go, I am officially qualified photographer – but still think it’s the actual passion and skill what matters the most!

I love sharing my vision and connecting with people through photography. It brings me a great pleasure working with like-minded creatives towards meaningful visuals in fashion, design, and editorial. My clients include BBC or National Theatre Scotland. And I continue to capture little things which catch my eye on my little film camera on daily basis.

If you’re interested in examples of my work outside the wedding season, you can find them in my personal portfolio: annacervinkova.com.

In the summer 2019 I decided to take no bookings and free up my schedule to do something I've dreamt of doing for quite some time...

We decided to walk across the Pyrenees from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean Sea, following the trail called HRP along the border of France and Spain. Some call it the hardest long distance trail in Europe... It was the most amazing 500 miles through the mountain wilderness and maybe the most amazing thing I've ever done.

It entailed walking 15-20km a day with 1000m ascent, crossing rivers, snowfields and fields of wildflower. Sheep and cow bells ringing. Sleeping in a tent, in a cabane or under stars and sharing meals with hikers at refugios. We went days without mobile reception but had more connection to the world than ever. Definitely will be doing something like this again.

I've moved to van in 2018 - my first van was a tiny Berlingo. It took me all across Scotland and Europe and served me well for many years.

In 2022 I got Mazda Bongo, which I use when in Scotland and I helped my partner to design a big van - so we can travel full time together and work remotely. So I now have two vans and I absolutely love it and am the happiest on the road. It's just so convenient for shooting adventurous weddings and elopement in distant corners all around Europe!

I am not planning to give up on my #vanlife any time soon, although recently I've been also dreaming about getting a tiny cabin in the woods...

I went through my photos and from the last couple years I don't really have any proper pics of myself other than from hiking. Also I rarely have picture which is displaying my face, as you might have noticed.

But this photo is a special one, taken by Jen after conquering Bla Bheinn at the Isle of Skye in the spring of 2018. We scrambled up the hill in crazy winds and had to use ice axes for the last remaining bits of snow at the summit. I was shit scared, but I did it and it was the most amazing thing. And it got me addicted to being more adventurous.

We didn't know it yet at the time, but this trip was a beginning of quite an adventure.

There is hardly a more typical photo of me.

Here's the typical Anna (all dressed in black) in her typical environment (forest) doing the typical activity (shooting).

This is a rare proper portrait of my face.

This one is from ages ago, when I went to model for a hairdressers show and they bleached my hair blonde. For the record: I've never had my hair bleached before as I am very pro-natural-beauty kind of person, so I hated it at first but it was cool experience which definitely took me out of my comfort zone.

I’ve got to know Kelsey & Iain when Iain arranged to wait for them in the bushes and capture his proposal to Kelsey. It was the most emotional thing ever as Kelsey broke into tears and then again as she found out it all was captured as she loves photography.

Here we are two years after; on their wedding day at Elsick House, grinning with joy as it was such a perfect autumnal day. I am so excited my second shooter managed to get this photo as I never end up with photos of myself and so excited to have a photo with these two as it was such a pleasure to be part of their story and they’re more friends than clients to me after all the emotions I’ve got to witness.

My dear friends Linda & Marcel came to Scotland from London to exchange their wedding vows surrounded by the most scenic landscape possible.

They took along Ondrej and Jakub of DIB Production to capture it on video and we spent the weekend roaming Isle of Skye and even hopped on a boat to take us to the remote Loch Coruisk surrounded by the Black Cuillins.

Btw. Not fan of plastic, but Coop plastic bag camera cover was a life saviour on this misty & drizzly boat ride.

        I am LGBTQ+ friendly Photographer!

I love people. I love people in love. I love queer people. I love straight people. I love single people. I love people of all shapes and sizes and skin colours. I don’t like people who do evil stuff of any sort, but that’s about it for the people I don’t like. For me it’s all about capturing the true emotions.
