Scottish Fine Art Wedding Photographer
My Approach & Style
“I believe that through some photographs you can not only see, but feel.”
My aesthetics are shaped by my background in Fashion Photography and Graphic Design so simplicity and timeless elegance with modern and fresh feel is something I strive for.
I just LOVE capturing spontaneous candid moments and get compliments on managing to blend into the background well. My favourite moment of the day is the newly-wed portrait session – I know that posing can feel awkward but with just right amount of direction I help my couples to relax and create emotion filled portrait photographs and really enjoy those first moments away from the crowd.
I am a big fan of:
– natural light
– spontaneous, candid shots
– relaxed and unobtrusive approach
– just right direction for portrait session
– having fun!
My pictures can be described as:
– high professional quality
I believe in a unique connection between people. Therefore understanding each couple is essential to establishing that level of mutual trust which helps to make photography so natural and spontaneous. It’s important for me to get to know the couple I work with as I’d like to be more of a new friend than a hired vendor.
The Day & Couple Photoshoot
Everything should flow, so during the day, I try my best to be as unobtrusive as possible and let all the photographs happen naturally. I mostly work with natural light and give a bit of direction when needed – usually during portrait photoshoot, which is my favourite part of the day – I really love to capture the intimate moments of the time away from the whirlwind of the wedding party.
I feel incredibly honored to have the trust of the couples to capture their day. Usually, I deliver first best of images on the day after the wedding with final selection following within 30 days on a personalized USB and in an online gallery. I believe that photos look their best when you can actually touch them – so fine art prints and handmade albums are also available.
