An afternoon spent climbing hills, chasing rainbows and getting completely soaked and muddy. Love Edinburgh and its weather on this last day of winter! And Holyrood Park which is almost like being anywhere else in the Scottish nature – although being in the heart of the city.
At first sunny day got slightly overcast with a quick shower which we successfully overcame hiding under roof of Scottish Parliament, but just as we were climbing the open part to the ruins of Saint Anthony’s Chapel we could see Edinburgh Castle nad New Town slowly vanishing in the cloud and within minutes there was a lovely snow storm with horizontal rain. I managed to snap some pictures before I had to hide the camera under my coat as it was completely covered in water and so were Dan and Harriet. Fortunately, rain was gone after a while and we turned to the double rainbow over Leith. Too much beauty! We climbed hills bit more after that to catch the sun slowly setting, dried a bit on the way and just as we thought we’re done and can safely call it a day, there was a slight incident including muddy hill, slippery shoes and two consecutive falls resulting in the muddy bum and knee.
